Williamson County
Paving in Williamson County
Williamson County has been one of the fastest-growing counties in Texas, and a lot of that growth is on acreage: new homesites around Liberty Hill, Leander and west Georgetown with raw caliche or road-base drives that rut, wash and throw dust from day one.
Those long drives are exactly what chip seal was made for. Sealing early — before the ruts and washouts set in — costs far less than rebuilding a failed driveway later, and it's typically a fraction of the price of hot-mix asphalt per foot.
Local conditions
I-35 splits the county in two
West of I-35 — Cedar Park, Leander, Liberty Hill, west Georgetown — it's Hill Country limestone over the Edwards Aquifer recharge zone, with rocky ground and good drainage. East toward Hutto, Taylor and Granger it's blackland prairie farmland: flat, deep clay that holds water. The base we build depends on which side your property is on.
What we see most in Williamson County
New-build caliche driveways
Builders often leave a basic road-base drive. We grade, compact and seal it before it starts to fail.
Long acreage drives
Quarter-mile and longer entries where asphalt pricing doesn't pencil out — chip seal does.
Farm roads on prairie clay
East-county roads that turn to mud after rain need a raised, drained base before sealing.
HOA and subdivision roads
Private community roads in rural subdivisions, quoted with board-ready proposals.

Our recommendation
For most new acreage homes in western Williamson County we recommend a double chip seal over the existing base, upgraded where it's thin. Out east on the clay, we'll often recommend raising and widening the base first — it's the difference between a 3-year and a 10-year surface.
Every property is different — we'll confirm on a free site visit and quote options side by side.

FAQ
Williamson County paving questions
Still have questions? Call (830) 307-0150 — you'll talk to the owner.
My builder left a road-base driveway in Liberty Hill. Can you seal it? +
Usually, yes. We re-grade, add base where it's thin or rutted, compact it, and apply a double chip seal. If the base needs more work, we'll tell you on the site visit.
Is chip seal cheaper than asphalt in Williamson County? +
On long drives, typically yes — often by a wide margin per foot. On short drives the difference narrows, so we'll quote both.
Do you work in Taylor, Hutto and east Williamson County? +
Yes. The blackland clay out east just needs a different base approach, and we build for it.
What affects the price of my project? +
Length and width, the condition of your existing base, drainage, access for equipment, and the surface you choose. We give a firm written quote after a free site visit — no surprises.
How soon can you start, and how long does it take? +
Most projects start within 1–2 weeks of approval, weather permitting. A typical driveway takes 1–2 days; multi-mile ranch roads can take 1–2 weeks.
